He is survived by: his wife Katherine Kitchen Varney of Forest Hills; his daughters, Donetta Marcum of Hardy and Tywla Hatfield of Hardy; his grandchildren, Sarah Crabtree (Robert) and Jason Hatfield; and his great grandchild Ryan Crabtree. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
