With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Cheryl Lynn McClurg of Fordsville, Kentucky, born in Leitchfield, Kentucky, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on November 3, 2024 at the age of 53. Though Cheryl Lynn may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Cheryl Lynn touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. She was predeceased by: her parents, Gerald Wayne and Shirley Mathis McClurg; and her granddaughter Oakland Ann Newton. She is survived by: her daughters, Tabby Lenick Newton (Gavin) of Leitchfield and Shelby Hayes of Leitchfield; her granddaughter Olivia Faith Lenick; and her sister Shelia Stevenson of Leitchfield.
Visitation was held on Thursday, November 7th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the Dermitt Funeral Home (306 W Main St, Leitchfield, KY 42754). A graveside service was held on Thursday, November 7th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Scott Cemetery.
