He was predeceased by: his parents, James Lovell Sosby, Sr. and Gertrude Burden Sosby; and his children, Debra Sosby, Irene Maderholtz and James R. Williams.

He is survived by: his wife Pauline Mattox Sosby; his daughters, Rita (Jay), Patty Moore (Steve), Paris and Paula Williams; his brothers, Marshall Sosby and Sonny Sosby; his grandchildren, Jorg Maderholtz (Carina), Peter Kiowski, Tomas Sayer Ballinger (Heather), Kaleb Coy (Brittany), Troy Williams, Tanis Street (Jodie), Amanda Kittle (Shawn), Jim Williams and Zack Smith; and his great grandchildren, Carina, Mariella, Tomas Wayne, Rylee, Leah, Gabriel, Anna, Wade and Trent.

The family asks that all those attending services please wear a mask.
