He was predeceased by: his parents, Hobart Simpson and Lottie Strong; his siblings, Eugene Simpson and Lucie Jean Simpson; and his granddaughter Erin Johnson.
He is survived by: his wife Sherry Simpson; his sons, Robert Matthew Simpson (Cara), Jeremiah Wayne Simpson, Arnold Paul Lockaby, David Jay Lockaby (Pam) and Aaron Lee Lockaby (Kim); and his siblings, Irene McFarland, Evelyn Richie, Hobert Junior Simpson, James Ray Simpson, Vernon Lewis, Harold Lewis, Herman Lewis, Juanitha Lewis, Floyd Lewis (Tammy), Wanda Lewis, Charles Simpson, Kenneth Ray Simpson, Carl Wayne Simpson, Mellie Rose Simpson and Sandra Kay Simpson. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren.
