With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Michael Dunkel of Florence, Kentucky, born in Peoria, Illinois, who passed away on May 6, 2024 at the age of 75. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Juna Rae Dunkel (McCarty) and Wayne Dunkel. He is survived by: his wife Colleen Dunkel (Cullerton); his daughters, Carolyn (Lee Howard) and Kimberly (David Scott); his grandson Owen; his sisters, Gayle Lynn (Bob Brandt), Kim (John Seyfried) and Lisa (Kris Feldhake); and also IndyCar.
