She was predeceased by: her parents, Anna Marie (Lakey) and Raymond A. Grote; her former husband Patrick W. May; her siblings, John R. Grote, Raymond H. Grote, Mary Jo Reimer, James P. Grote and Nancy Mann; and her brother-in-law Joseph H. Engelman.
She is survived by: her sisters, Betty Engelman and Margie Jonavic; her brothers-in-law, Ted Jonavic and Ron Mann; her daughter Lucy May; her son-in-law Christopher Schwarz; her daughter Carrie May; her son-in-law John Nalbandian; and her grandchildren, Madeline Schwarz (Jason Hulteen), George Nalbandian, Jane Nalbandian and Katherine Schwarz. She is also survived by nieces and nephews, and many great and great great nieces and nephews.
She asked for her obituary to say in lieu of flowers, please donate to a food bank of your choice because she hated the idea of anyone being hungry, especially children.
