She was predeceased by: her parents, Harold Rudolf Johnson and Christine Cobb Johnson; and her close friend Janet Short. She is survived by: her children, Krista Cahall (Cory) of Georgetown, Ohio and Phillip Sharp (Kelly Jo) of Russell; her sister Joy Johnson of Morehead, KY; her grandchildren, Emerson Cahall, Evelyn Cahall, Elizabeth "Lizzy" Cahall, Ethan Sharp (Kristen Brooke) and Abagail "Abby" Sharp; and her daughter-in-law Casey Sharp of Russell.
Visitation was held on Friday, December 13th 2024 from 12:30 PM to 1:00 PM at the Caniff Funeral Home (528 Wheatley Rd, Ashland, KY 41101). A celebration of life was held on Friday, December 13th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
The family will accept flowers, but if you wish to make a donation in Verna's memory instead, that can be done to the Russell Lion's Club or the Flatwoods Lion Club.
