With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Ruby E. Roush of Flatwoods, Kentucky, who passed away on July 7, 2021 at the age of 95. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, William Garvin and Rachel Blevins Garvin; her husband Jimmy E. Roush; and her siblings, Bert Garvin, Ernest Garvin, Bruce Garvin, John Garvin, Grace Franklin, Dorothy Morrison and Jeannie Blanton.

She is survived by: her daughters, Mary Beth Cordle (Larry) and Margaret Hattman (Richard); and her grandchildren, Jennie Marie Quaine (Jameson) and Andrew Ryan Hattman (Amanda). She is also survived by nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations are suggested to the Advance Memorial United Methodist Church 1007 Bellefonte Road Flatwoods, KY 41139.

“Mary Beth, I am so sorry to read this obit. for Ruby. She will always be immortal to me and my family for all the blessings and work she did for my family. Kirsten’s daughters just named their new puppy “Ruby” in her honor. I have never looked her up in years assuming she has been gone for awhile but should have known her grit and love let her live to touch many lives the way she touched ours. May her legacy live on—blessings to all who will miss her.”
