He was predeceased by: his parents, Powell VanHorn and Delphia Wilson VanHorn; his wife Wilma Burgess VanHorn; his daughters, Myra Lee VanHorn and Cheryl Ann VanHorn; and his siblings, Beulah Caldwell, Emily Call, Lexie Merritt, Ray VanHorn and Cebrun VanHorn.
He is survived by: his daughter Marilyn Stevens (Rick); his grandson Justin Stevens (Candice); his great grandchild Justin Stevens, II; and his brother Martin VanHorn.
Visitation was held on Saturday, April 5th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Flatwoods First Church of the Nazarene (2310 Bellefonte Rd, Flatwoods, KY 41139). A funeral service was held on Saturday, April 5th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
