He was predeceased by: his father William Donta; his wife Mary Gilliam Donta; his sons, Kenneth "Buster" Donta Jr. and James Donta; and his brothers, William Donta, Jr., Herman Donta, Arnold Donta and Delmis Donta.
He is survived by: his grandchildren, Sarah Razor (Sam), Will Donta (Cara), Jamila Scaggs (Chuck) and Zach Donta; his great grandchildren, Caroline, Hannah, Keegan, Charlie, Ben, Millie and Jameson; his siblings, Jack Donta, Donald Donta, Robert Donta, Conrad Donta, Donna Donta Vanderhoof and Doris Donta Brantferger; and his daughters-in-law, Mattie Donta, Lee Ann Donta, Nancy Steele and Licia Lykins.
In lieu of flowers, donations are suggested to the Ashland Animal Rescue Fund.
