He is survived by: his wife Louise Ramey Hicks; his daughters, Kim Gabbard (Richard) of Worthington, KY, Toni Hicks of Flatwoods, KY and Lisa Barker (Gary) of Russell, KY; his grandson Jeremy Barker; and his great grandchildren, Oliva Gabbard, Ava Gabbard and Braden Barker.

In lieu of flowers, donations are suggested to Community Hospice.
