He is survived by: his parent Bettie Richardson Atkins; his children, Ann May (Steve) of Flatwoods, Mark Atkins (Charlotte) and Jimmy Stevens; his grandchildren, Samuel, Sonja, Shane, Benjamin, Jeff, Nichole, Charlie, Ashley, Chad, Nathan and Stevie; and his great grandchildren, Payton of Loralie, T. J, Lilly, McKaela, Leighadawn, Devan, Jacob and Layla "Boone".
