He was predeceased by: his wife Carol Sue Anderson Kersey; and his siblings, Herbert Kersey Sr., Ezra Kersey, Glenn Kersey, Harlan Kersey Jr., Ruth Hayes, Orpha Kazee, Lillian Dixon, Roma Hunt and Betty Micavich.
He is survived by: his children, Jeff Kersey (Lynn) of Lexington, SC, Samuel S. Kersey (Melanie) of Jessup, GA, Yvonne Kersey of New Albany, IN and Beth Kersey Wiesman of Bright, IN; his grandchildren, Melissa, Crystal, Zachery, Ashley, Aaron, Noah, Rachel and Jacob; his nephew Dave Kersey; and his grandson Matt. He is also survived by six great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
