He is survived by: his daughter Julie Merida of Flat Lick; his siblings, Jeanette Hobbs of Dewitt, Stoney Hobbs (Regina) of Girdler and Ricky Hobbs (Shirl) of Scalf; his granddaughter Paige Makayla Merida; his close friend Tip Smith; and his sisters-in-law, Sharon Rogers, Brenda Bargo and Nola Hampton (Tommy). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
