He is survived by: his wife Linda Whelan; his sons, Ronnie Whelan of Flaherty, Les Whelan (Laura) of Rineyville, Terry Whelan (Gina) of Colorado Springs, CO, Sam Whelan and Scott Whelan (Daphne) of Flaherty; his stepchildren, Eric Meadows (Deloris) of Crestview, FL and April Ellis (Paul) of Flaherty; and his sisters, Joetta Padgett (Leo), Janette, Brown, Anna Buckman and Rosie Padgett (Marion). He is also survived by eighteen grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren.
