He is survived by: his wife Kathy Stevens Dotson; his children, Joseph "Joey" Dotson Jr. (Susan), Missy Cottrell (Danny), Jenny Dotson (Rob) and Julie Dotson (Ryan); his grandchildren, Caisey (Ben), Bradley, Addison, Damian (Emily), Macy, Cameron, Isaac (Savannah), Elaina, Alex and Thomas; his great grandchild Greyson; his nieces, Andrea, Becky, Krystal and Nikki; and his nephew Brandon.
