She was predeceased by: her husband Charles Whitehead; her son Charles "Bones" Whitehead Jr.; and her siblings, Benny Peak, David Fain, Janice Henderson, Margaret Thacker and Jan Badgett.

She is survived by: her children, Stacey McIntosh (Jack) and Roger Whitehead (Wendy); and her siblings, Trish Katzman, Jim Peak, Ed Peak and Chris Fain. She is also survived by nine grandchildren; nine great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts can be given to Little Mount Baptist Church.
