He was predeceased by: his parents, Carthal Compton and Lela Coner Compton; his wife Pauline; his son Larry W. Compton; and his brothers, Kenneth Compton, Robert Compton and Herman Compton.
He is survived by: his grandson Jeremy W. Compton (Lillian Compton); and also Jeanne Brown (Vola). He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
