He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas "Frog" Ard and Ersie Johnson Ard; his wife Mary Lou Richardson Ard; and his siblings, Wayne Ard and Regina Geraldine Ard.
He is survived by: his daughters, Shannon Ard Smith, Marta Farmer (Michael) and Melonie Ard; his grandchildren, Joshua "Cutter" Smith (Kayla Phelps), Caleb Lockhart (Julia), Victoria "Tori" Kelly (Daryl), Colin Thompson, Taylor Smith, Jared Farmer, Cayleigh Thompson and Erin Farmer; his great grandchildren, Millie James Lockhart, Verlee Preston Lockhart, James Julian Lockhart and Ava'Lynn Marie Thompson; and his brother Ralph Ard (Theresa). He is also survived by nieces and nephews, neighbors and friends.
