She is survived by: her husband Freddie Thompson of Fancy Farm, KY; her children, Angela Thompson Hoback of Cunningham, KY, Aaron Thompson of West Paducah, KY and Andrew Thompson (Lynn) of Paducah, KY; her siblings, Lois Bell of Paducah, KY, Del Curtsinger (Jeanette) of Marina, CA and David Curtsinger (Susan) of Fancy Farm, KY; and her grandchildren, Brooke Weatherspoon (Ethan), Caleb Thompson, Becca Thompson and CeCe Thompson.

“Susie was my very first friend (outside family and cousins), that I ever had. I went to Fancy Farm for first and second grades. She stood on my front lawn to wave me goodbye when we moved near St. Louis. I've never forgotten her. Susie was such a welcoming and loving friend - always. I last visited with Susie when I accompanied my sister Janet to her 50th Fancy Farm class reunion (same year as Lois).. I welcome Susie to be one of my guardian angels. Bye dear girl, I love you !!”
