Joseph Wayne touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his brother Larry Higdon; and his parents, Arthur Robert Higdon, Jr. and Mary Ann Elliott Higdon. He is survived by: his wife Ruth Ann Elder Higdon of Fancy Farm; his children, Jane Ann Cain (Mike) of Brentwood, Alice Faye Penrod of Paducah and Joseph Wayne Higdon, Jr. (Debbie) of Fancy Farm; his siblings, Terry Higdon of McAllen, Rebecca Jean Romero of El Monte and Arthur Robert Higdon III of Manchester; and his grandsons, Ryan Cain, Wes Cain, Gabe Crider, Luke Crider, Kyle Higdon and Joseph Higdon III. He is also survived by 10 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 1st 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Jerome Catholic Church (20 KY-339, Fancy Farm, KY 42039). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, February 1st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
