He was predeceased by: his parents, James Hobbs and Irene Hobbs (Burgess); his siblings, James Russell Hobbs, Francis Gerald Hobbs, Thomas Wayne Hobbs, Joy Ann Toon and Wanda Lou Painter; and his grandson Anthony Ruben Santos.
He is survived by: his wife Martha Hobbs; his daughters, Jennifer Hobbs of San Antonio, TX, Julie Santos (Cooper) of Indianapolis, IN and Jackie Moya (Roy) of San Antonio, TX; his grandchildren, Cheyenne Hobbs, Dakota Hobbs and Callie Santos; and his siblings, Robert Glenn Hobbs, Mary Ruth Dossett, Rose Elaine Seay (Larry) and Belinda Gail (Charles). He is also survived by Nanny.
