He was predeceased by: his parents, Taft Bowling and Glenna Rose White Bowling; his son Donald Ray Bowling; and his brother Bradley Bowling. He is survived by: his wife Ruby Johnson Bowling; his sons, Jimmy Darrell Bowling and Anthony Scott Bowling; and his sisters, Elizabeth Carolyn Barger, Emma Mullins, Fay Coye, Marie Leon and Donna Barger. He is also survived by eight grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
