He was predeceased by: his parents, James Walter and Mildred Gent Cobb; his son Charles Dale "Dinky" Cobb; his siblings, Ray Cobb, Helen Suttles, James Walter Cobb, Jr. and Richard Cobb; his parents-in-law, Everette and Irene Platt; and his sister-in-law Betty Jane Ruber.
He is survived by: his wife Carol Platt Cobb; and his siblings, Shirley Bishop, Patricia Roberts, Johnny Cobb, Roger Cobb, Freddy Cobb and Vicky Carr.
Memorials are suggested to the Mt. Vernon Cemetery.
