She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas J. Wolfe and Ruth Elizabeth Ammerman Wolfe; her former husband James P. Wells; her spouse Shelby McDowell; her daughter Melissa Jo Wells; her granddaughter Cassandra Jo Work; her stepchildren, Vivian Marquardt and Kenny McDowell; and her siblings, Martha Lou Paynter, Mary Paynter and Paul Thomas Wolfe.
She is survived by: her children, Sue Sullivan (late Paul) of Butler, KY, Joyce Schlueter (Mike) of Falmouth, KY and Eddie Wells (Brenda) of Falmouth, KY; her stepsons, Tom McDowell (late Brenda) and Mike McDowell (Kathy); and her daughter-in-law Mary McDowell. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, 4 great-great grandchildren.
