He was predeceased by: his parents, Alva Varner and Alice King Varner; and his wife Geneva Brenda Wright Varner. He is survived by: his daughter Cindy Brown Wade (Steve) of Falmouth; his grandchildren, Eric Varner and Sara Varner; his brother L. T. Varner (Patty) of Falmouth; his stepgrandchildren, Kelsei Brown, Dakota Brown, Christopher Akins, Elijah Abney, Rayviana Brown and Donnie Brown; his great grandchildren, Nichola CaraDonna and Amiyah Walls; his son Jay Varner; and his siblings, Rose Mary Bishop, Temple Bishop, Louise Price and Juanita Richie.
