She was predeceased by: her parents, Hiram Short and Frances Slone Jacobs; her husband Willis Slone; her daughter Gwendolyn Slone; her granddaughter Deanna Brashear Nelly; and her brothers, Ova, Mabry and Clemons Jacobs.
She is survived by: her children, Ronnie Slone (Evelyn Herald), Kathryn Brashear (late Bill) and Evelyn Owsley (Truman); her sister Verna Mae Shepherd; her grandchildren, April Soto (Johnny), Larry Nelly, Ronnie Darrell Slone, Jessicca Hamilton (Ken) and Seth Brashear; and her great grandchildren, Briegh, Keelie Soto, Cainan, Megan Nelly, Elijah Brashear, Mariah Brossart, Connor Collins, Tempe and Alex Hamilton.
