He was predeceased by: his parents, Carrick Letner and Truie Letner; his wife Phyllis Roberts Letner; and his siblings, Myrtle Moore and Jimmy Ray Letner.

He is survived by: his children, Michael Letner (Shannon) of Falmouth, Billy Rae Letner (Sandy) of Dry Ridge and Gail Baker of Crittenden, Kentucky; and his sister Macle Mosley of Corbin Kentucky. He is also survived by grandchildren and great grandchildren.
