She was predeceased by: her parents, Ivory Ford and Edith Eskridge Ford; and her siblings, Mitchell, Ivory Ford Jr. and Brenda Johnson.

She is survived by: her husband James Cecil Thornberry; her children, Jamie Thornberry of Falls and Stephanie Staples (Aaron Thompson) of Falls; and her granddaughter Amber Thornberry.
