She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry Paul and Virginia Midkiff Lewis. She is survived by: her husband James Nelson; and her sons, James E. Nelson, Jr. (Bonnie), Timothy Vernie Nelson (Rhonda), Christopher Paul Nelson (Trina) and Daniel Keith Nelson (Stephanie). She is also survived by seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
