She was predeceased by: her husband James Elder; her daughter Virginia Katherine; her parents, Caperton Harris and Gladys Harris; and her siblings, Fay Vowell and James Hill Harris.
She is survived by: her children, David Elder (Margaret), Dawn Bowling (Wally), Doug Elder (Lisa), Danette "Cookie" Barnes (David), Dee Ann Crush (Joe), Kim Hile (Steve) and Beth Neltner (David); and her siblings, Betty Harris and Norval Lee Harris. She is also survived by 17 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Monday, January 20th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Michael Catholic Church (111 Church St, Fairfield, KY 40020). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Monday, January 20th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Monday, January 20th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the St. Michael Church Cemetery (111 Church St, Fairfield, KY 40020).
The family requests expression of sympathy take the form of contributions to St. Michael's Choir or St. Michael's Bereavement Committee.
