He was predeceased by: his parent J. C. Stone; his former wives, Louise Goldring Stone and Geraldine Stone; and his siblings, Brenda Stone and Robert Russell Stone.
He is survived by: his wife Jeanette Allen Stone; his children, Peggy Stone Willhite of Covington and Gerald DeWayne Stone of Lexington; and his siblings, Linda Lewis (Avery) of Bardstown and Joe Stone (Laverne) of Louisville. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
