He was predeceased by: his parents, Rudolph Frank Herdt and Yvonne Paulette Herdt; and his siblings, Larry Herdt and Sandy Potter. He is survived by: his wife Mattie Cox-Herdt; his children, Tammy Coulter, William M. "Billy" Herdt (Michelle) and Paula Clemons; his stepchildren, James Arnold and Samantha Wilson (Brandon); his grandchildren, Dereck Clemons, Brittany Coulter (Chad), Alex Herdt (Kaitlyn) and Andrew Herdt (Tara); and his sister Paulette Miller. He is also survived by several step- grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Sunday, November 3rd 2024 from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM at the Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (4895 N Preston Hwy, Shepherdsville, KY 40165). A funeral service was held on Sunday, November 3rd 2024 at 4:00 PM at the Chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (4895 N Preston Hwy, Shepherdsville, KY 40165).
