He was predeceased by: his son Walter Wayne, Jr.; and his parents, Walter F. Berding and Gertrude Berding. He is survived by: his wife Sandra; his children, Michael Berding and Alice Benningfield (Lou); his sister Velvet Dunn; and his grandchildren, Mike, Josh, Matthew, Jessica, Alicia, T. J., Ziggy, Ely, Benjamin and Samantha K.. He is also survived by 10 great grandchildren.
