She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry S. Barnes and Dessie Barnes; her husband Charles H. Daniel Sr.; her children, Laura Ploetner and Alva Cox, Jr.; her brothers, Gilbert, Elmer, Leon and James Barnes; and her half-sister Anna Frances.
She is survived by: her children, Marchelle Joseph, Anna Al-Shami (Nadir), Maple Lyons, Charles Daniel, Jr. Henry M. (Donna), James A. Daniel (Sharry) and Dwight D. Daniel (Lynda); and her stepdaughter Constance Daniel. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren, a host of great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild; and a host of nieces and nephews.
