He was predeceased by: his father Arthur Salyer; his stepfather Leon Mudd; and his pet Bogie. He is survived by: his mother JoAnn Wise; his wife Beth Ann Salyer; his siblings, Vicki Burnette (John) and Charlie Mudd (Angie); his children, Holly Mitchell (Charles), Morgan Stucker, Kameron Salyer and Kyle Salyer; his grandchildren, Kayliana, Kaden, Carter, Kingston and DJ; his parents-in-law, Bill, Jan Powars, David and Charlene Parks; his siblings-in-law, Danny Powars, Tammy Powars, Beth Motley (Chris) and Suzy Whatley Brian Uberlhart (Matt); his nieces and nephews, Jeff, Brandon (Kayla), Zach Powars, Cory Spencer, Mason Mudd, Jared Johnson, Tanner, Landon Whatley, Meredith, Madison Mudd and Jana "Boom Boom" Johnson (Kelcie); and also Derek Anderson (Jamie).

A celebration of life was held on Saturday, November 9th 2024 at 4:00 PM at the House of Beth & Kevin.
