She was predeceased by: her parents, Ray Jenkins and Silby Jenkins (Barnes); her husband Robert Chitwood; and her siblings, Ramona Garcia, Lonnie Jenkins and David Jenkins.

She is survived by: her son Brent Chitwood (Jenni); and her grandson Tucker Jay Chitwood. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
