He was predeceased by: his mother Vilva Smith; his brother Coyle "Corky" Cooper; his daughter-in-law Dina Cooper; and his grandson Josh Dyer. He is survived by: his wife Marilyn; his children, Teresa Heath, Karen Dyer and Philip M. Cooper; his brother Carlos Eugene Smith (Linda); and his grandchildren, Chris, Erica, Nikki, Kasey, Kayla and Keri.
