He was predeceased by: his parents, Estle Newsom and Lucille Hinton Newsom. He is survived by: his wife Karen Grannis Newsom; his children, Billy Newsom (Jennifer), Robby Newsom (Lynna), Jimmy Newsom (Virginia) and Staci Thrasher (Nick); his grandchildren, Bryce, Logan, Emily, Ava, Katie, Sawyer, Bailey, Brady, Byrdi, Jack, Haleigh Jo and Cody; his sisters, Bonnie McElfresh (Don) and Jannie Buzzard (Garry); and his aunt Aline Gulley.
