It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Shirley Winders Helton of Evarts, Kentucky, who passed away on May 2, 2021, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter Winders and Gladys Helen Suggs Winders; her siblings, Anna Sue Doan and Bill Winders; her brother-in-law Harold Davis; and her great grandchild Gavin McLain.
She is survived by: her husband Donald "Don" Helton; her children, Paul Helton (Donna), Sherry Helton, Marty Helton (Wendy) and Dierdree Wynn (Elmer); her sisters, Alice Davis and Carolyn Middleton (James); her brother-in-law Buster Doan; her grandchildren, Nikki Hardy, Derrek McLain, Megan Stewart (John), Tyler Helton (April), Travis Helton (Kelsey), Trent McKenzie (Camerynn Owens), Jarrett McKenzie, Donella Southworth (Josh) and Keenan Wynn; her great grandchildren, Kaylin Hardy, Jacelyn Stewart, Emily Stewart, Jonathan Stewart, Ryder Helton, Paisley Helton, Lydia Helton, Lakyn Helton and Rosie Southworth; and her great great grandchild Korbyn McLain. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
Per mandates set by the Governor of Kentucky, masks and social distancing are required at all indoor services.
