With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Sheila Gilbert Ball of Evarts, Kentucky, born in Harlan, Kentucky, who passed away on December 27, 2024 at the age of 74. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Polly Hubbard Gilbert and Morgan Gilbert; her grandson Leslie Cox; her former husband Danny L. Ball, Sr.; and her brother Jesse Hubbard.
She is survived by: her children, Paula Cox of Evarts and Danny L. Ball, Jr. (Starla) of New Tazewell, TN; her siblings, Patricia Boggs (Dennie) of Knoxville, TN, Rita Mumford of Knoxville, TN, Joyce Hubbs (Tommy) of Dayton, OH and Dallas Gilbert of Evarts; her grandchildren, Kellie Ray, Jake Ball, Kaylee Ball, Danny Ball III and Scotty Cox; and her great grandchildren, Asher, Ella Cox, Abby, Steve, Jax Ray, Eli, Rayven Ball, Sapphira and Cora Andrews. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
Visitation was held on Sunday, December 29th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Evarts Funeral Home (119 Bridge St, Evarts, KY 40828). A funeral service was held on Sunday, December 29th 2024 at 7:00 PM at the same location.
