She was predeceased by: her father Murph Short; her grandparents, Ruth, Worley Short, C. A. and Minnie Short; and her granddaughter Darcy Bennett.
She is survived by: her husband Richie Holman of Closplint; her mother Retha "Dot" Short of Closplint; her siblings, Kathy Short Stewart (Freddie, Big), Donna Deweese (Harry, Dayhoit), Jeff Short, Cheyenne Short (Barbie, Closplint) and Scottie Short (Glenda Estep, Big); her stepdaughters, Rachel Middleton of Georgia, Lindsey Middleton (Johnny, Ages) and Chastina Bennett (Michael, Closplint); her grandchildren, Brantley Bennett, Amanda Middleton, Jacob Middleton, Destiny Middleton, Henry Otis Middleton and Elizabeth Middleton; and her nieces and nephews, Alexis Simpson, Stephanie Irvin, Shawna Henery, Lance Short, Tracy Shworles, Joseph Thoma and Fahrahan Short.
