He was predeceased by: his parents, Joyce Tackett Steines and Jim Litzau; his daughter Charlene Cox Madden; and his siblings, Wilma Rigney, Cynthia Wynn and Sterling Cox.
He is survived by: his wife Judy Ann Napier Cox; his daughters, Joyce Marie Partin of Loyall and Julia Cox of Tennessee; his stepdaughter Christy Michelle Lamb (John Paul); his pet Poko; his siblings, Elaine Ledford (Kildav), Wanda Whitman (Danny Mathis), Charlene Blevins (Michael Ross), Terry Litzau, Janet Sulfridge (Dale), Vernon Cox (Cindy), Jimmy Litzau (Harlan), Eddie Cox (Big Stone Gap) and Mike Cox; his brother-in-law Marvin Wynn; and his grandson Christopher Lamb.
Attendance is limited to 50% of the capacity of the church and social distance must be maintained.
