He is survived by: his wife Mary Lou Rigney Furgerson; his children, Tina Furgerson (Tommy Couch), Angela Shuler (Jody), Danny Ray Furgerson (Cathy), Pam Middleton (Mike), Barbara King and Billy Wayne Furgerson (Veronica); his siblings, Carolyn Howard of Evarts, Judy Shelton (Rick) of Evarts, Tommy Furgerson (Chris) of Bean Station, TN, Kildav of Bean Station, TN and Roger Furgerson of Bean Station, TN; and his grandchildren, Abe "Turk" Bennett, Michael Bennett, Kayla Woods, April Southerland, Jody Shuler, Jr., Katie Furgerson, Matthew "Matt" Furgerson, Whitney Chadwick, Christopher Farmer, Hayleigh Paige King and Bryson Furgerson.
