He was predeceased by: his parents, William Clayton and Pearl Gaddis, Sr. (Taylor); and his siblings, James Gaddis, Dorothy Turner, Lucy Baugh, Jackie Wesley and Brenda Russell.

He is survived by: his wife Shirley Ann Gaddis (Mofield); his children, Travis Lee Gaddis of Eubank and April Kutey of Somerset; and his sisters, Hattie Dabney of Somerset and Betty Loveless of Science Hill.
