He was predeceased by: his parents, Estill Cress and Susie Cress (Glass); and his siblings, Odell Cress, Leles "Lee" Cress, Olen Cress, Daris Cress, Velda Cress Combs and Shirley Cress Johnson.
He is survived by: his former wife Gay Carolynn Alexander Cress; his siblings, Charles Cress (Geraline), Verlan Cress, Bobby Cress (Carolyn), Earlin "Dude" Cress (Alaine), Linton Cress (Connie), Johnny "John Wayne" Cress (Wanda), Marslene Littrell, Charlotte Cress and Linda Carolyn Cress; his stepson Barry Wayne Johnson (Kathy Gallimore); his stepgrandchildren, Tara Johnson, Savanna Owsley (Chad) and Jonas Johnson (Katie); his niece Louanne Cress Heist; his former wife Linda Kay Johnson Cress; and his son Rodney Dale Cress. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
