He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Ruckel and Ruby Ruckel (Spaw); his brothers, Larry (Evelyn), Lewis, Lloyd, Leonard, Linville Ruckel and Winford Ruckel; and his brother-in-law Bill Daniels.
He is survived by: his sons, Christopher Douglas Ruckel (Brenda) and John Phillip Ruckel; his sisters, Jane Acres (Tommy) and Jean Daniels; his sisters-in-law, Peggy, Donna, Emma and Doris; and his granddaughter Christy Alexis Ruckel.
