He is survived by: his wife Laverne Smith Whitter; his children, Steve Whitter (Elaine), Pat Massey (Ed), Leshia Meece (Junior) and Brian Whitter (Alpha); his daughter-in-law Debbie Whitter; his grandchildren, Amy, Kristie, Gary Lee, Bruce, Amanda, Heather, Megan, Kara, Josh, Jordan and Jaylynn; and his great grandchildren, Vera, Aliza, River, Ella, Aiden, Addie, Sophie, Scarlett and Paisley.
