He was predeceased by: his parents, Mitchell Griffin and Retna Griffin (Todd); his grandson Treyton Jones; and his siblings, Oather Griffin, VJ Griffin, Leroy Griffin, Elroy Griffin, Vaudie Griffin, Bernard Griffin, Dean Griffin, Leona Whitis, June Roberts, JoAnn Davis, Loudema Saxson, Boneta Griffin and Wilma Kelly.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Lou Griffin (Emerson); his children, Steve Griffin, Scott Griffin (Tonia), Gretta Griffin and Myron Griffin (Norma Jean); his brother Verlon Griffin (Ellen); his grandchildren, Emily Jones (Nic) and Blaine Austin Griffin; his great grandchildren, Hayden Jones and Easton Jones; and his sisters-in-law, Dorothy Griffin and Devonda Griffin. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers the family requests expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to Hospice of Lake Cumberland or a charity of your choice.
