He is survived by: his children, Steve Patterson (Angie) of Stanford, James Patterson (Nell) of Ohio, Roger Patterson (Bernadine) of McKinney, KY and Kaysie Shepherd of Science Hill, KY; and his siblings, Donald Ray Patterson (Janice), David Patterson, W. C. Patterson, Juanita Padgett, Nancy Wren (James) and Trish Ann Merrell. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
